Bishop Karren's Testimony
What a humbling experience to be called to serve as bishop of the Logan Single Adult 1st Ward. Fortunately for me, I have felt nothing but support from those I've been blessed to serve with. I believe that the Lord takes care of those who serve him. I know he loves each and every one of you. I know that there is real joy to be found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope to be a part of helping our ward members to experience that joy by following our Savior, by living his teachings and serving those around us.
Sister Cheryl Christiansen's Testimony
I am so grateful to be a member of the church of Jesus Christ. I’m so grateful for the knowledge I have gained of the savior ‘s life and his example in the scriptures. Every page truly testifying of him. I’m so grateful for his kindness and love he showed to all. It reminds me of how I should treat others. And how important we all are. I’m so grateful for the gift of repentance that he gave to me. That as I make mistakes I can have hope and can try to do a little better each day. I’m so grateful for the love I feel from him as I try to do better. I love Jesus Christ and know that each day as I strive to draw closer to him I can feel his spirit. I know he lives and that we will be with him again. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.
Brother Daines' Testimony
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and my eldest brother and friend. He is the One anointed to come to earth to make up for the sorrow, pain, grief, loneliness, fatigue, loss, disappointment, guilt, and wrongdoing in the world, including the alienation I have caused, the opportunities I have turned my back on, and the sadness I have experienced. He also left His teachings and example, and continues, through living prophets, the Holy Ghost, and myriad other helps, to guide and inspire and console me.
Jesus Christ willingly wrought the atonement and rescues me, even though He did not cause any of the bad for which He suffered. Why? Because of His love He abounds in grace, providing me joy so intense that it must be experienced to be imagined. He blesses me “good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over.”
Sister Michelle Daines' Testimony
My testimony of Jesus Christ is the foundation my world stands on. He is my exemplar and whom I want to become like. I love reading the scriptures to discover His characteristics and attributes. His life holds such examples that astound me. I feel like I have experienced love (of my parents, children, grandchildren, relatives, friends) but the kind of love He experienced and expressed for all of us (me included) defies logic. His love is so profound that He was willing to experience grief and death unimaginable for our sins and for something He did not do! That kind of love is beyond description. My love for my Savior increases every time I read of Him and learn more about Him.
I am beyond grateful for my knowledge and belief of my Savior, His plan for us and my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am so grateful I have been born in this age when the gospel has been restored. I know we have a prophet and twelve apostles on this earth today that continue to carry on His work and help us desire to become better. I know through the power of the Holy Ghost that these things are true. I am grateful for that knowledge because it helps me in times of trial and lets me know that He truly understands me. That knowledge is priceless to me!
