Testimony of Bruce O. James

As I think back over my lifetime of 66 years, I fully recognize the hand of my Heavenly Father in almost every aspect of my life.  I have experienced both sorrow and joy, pleasure and pain, love and the loss of love, joy and disappointment.   Through all of  these times,  it has been the knowledge that I am a cherished son of God that has carried me through.  I know that God lives and we are his children, his love for us is infinite. I know of the tender mercies that he extends to all of us in times of need.  I testify that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that he died for us, that he is the Son of God.  I know that through his Atonement and the great Plan of Happiness, one day we will return to live with our loved ones in the presence of Heavenly Father and our brother Jesus Christ.  I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God’s church on earth.  I testify of the great blessings that come through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.  I also know that President Russell M. Nelson is a Prophet of God on earth today giving us guidance for our lives in these perilous times. These things I know through the gift and power of our Heavenly Father, and I testify of them in the name of Jesus Christ.

Testimony of Kelly M. James

I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ our Savior and Redeemer.  I have a love for them both that is indescribable.  I know that my prayers are answered on a daily basis and that when I seek direction for my life that through the power of the Holy Ghost I am shown a better way.  I am grateful for the opportunity I have had in my life to serve a Mission for the Church in the Dominican Republic and to learn to love the people of that country.  I learned so much and grew tremendously as a result of my service to the Lord.  I am grateful for the calling that Bruce and I have among the Single Adults of the 2nd Ward.  I Love each and every one of my wonderful “kids”.  I am grateful for my family and the love and support they give me.  I know that Russell M. Nelson is a prophet of God and that he is being preserved and blessed in his service to the Church.  I am so thankful for his example of love and dedication.  Again I know that God lives and loves each one of us, also that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the earth today.  Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and the Book of Mormon gives us guidance for our lives today.  Of this I testify in the sacred name of Jesus Christ--Amen

Sister Pat Marshall's Testimony

I have faith in Jesus Christ. One of my favorite scriptures is taken from Doctrine and Covenants 6:34. It has sustained me in the darkness and strengthen me to rely on the Lord and his timing.

It reads:

“Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.”

While raising a family I had to place my trust and faith in my Savior. He knows so much more than I do, so I will let him “take the reins”. I have so many blessings to be grateful for and I try to acknowledge daily His hands in my life.

I am going to try and dedicate the year of 2019 to doing acts of service. I remember hearing once that “our hands are His tools here on earth”. This year I am pledging to try better to be “His hands”. My acts of service might be as simple as cleaning the church all the way to a year long humanitarian sewing project. I want to be an instrument that He can use.

I am so grateful for a plan to live my life by. HOW BLESSED WE ARE! As I have lost several people in my family recently, I am so glad to have a knowledge of the Plan of Salvation, afforded to us through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Death is a passage through which we all will pass. Another step in the progression of that plan. I often think how comforting that knowledge is and I reply on it and have faith in that plan of joy and happiness.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the words of the hymn Because I Have Been Given Much.

Because I have been given much,

I too must give.

Because of thy great bounty Lord,

Each day I live;

I shall divide my gifts from thee

With every brother that I see

Who has the need of help from me.

Because I have been sheltered, fed

By thy good care;

I cannot see another’s lack and I not share;

My glowing fire, my loaf of bread,

My roof’s safe shelter overhead

That he too may be comforted.

Because I have been blessed by

Thy great love dear Lord,

I’ll share thy love again

According to thy word;

I shall give love to those in need,

I’ll show that love by word and deed;

Thus, shall my thanks be thanks in deed.

Oh, how I have learned to love the Logan 2nd Singles Ward. What strong people setting an example of love and compassion to those around them. I am blessed knowing some and getting to know ALL of you! Thank you for accepting me into your lives and to be able to feel of the testimonies of the gospel you carry within your own hearts.

Brother Blake Christensen's Testimony

I have a testimony that our Heavenly Father lives and loves His children; that Jesus Christ lives, that He is the Son of God, and that He carried out the infinite Atonement; that Joseph Smith is the prophet of God who was called to restore the gospel; that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior's true Church on the earth; and that the Church is led by a living prophet today in President Russell M Nelson.   I’m grateful for continuous revelation and the knowledge that our Heavenly Father loves us , he knows who we are and wants only the best for us.
